nice, I like it. I like the stand as well. My 5.5 is just sitting on my kitchen counter lol.
Think I might try BB next time, I like the looks of yours

Saw that, very nice. Good inspiration for a 10g atm. I really like the mangroves as well.

Haven't finished the stand yet. I will probably put a door on it that snaps on with those roller things.
I also have some actinic LED's I haven't mounted yet, I'm trying to figure out the best way to put them over the tank without making it look like a jumble of lights.
Trying to keep it fairly simple.
BTW: You can see our lionfish in the full tank shot on the right, he's taking to shrimp lately. (steals it from the acans...)

I'm actually thinking of adding 20 more mangroves (there's 20 there right now)!

Looks like you have a skimmer popping out the back section in yours? Which skimmer are you using? Do your mangroves get enough light? That is a halide right?

That is a lot of mangroves. Do they work as well as everyone says for denitrification?

The skimmer is a Tunze 9002? (Nano skimmer)
The halide is a 150DE running a Radium 20k.
The mangroves absolutely took off in the last week or so. They are a bit of work since I spray the leaves off every morning and have to dose magnesium a little more. I've had them for 2 months now and haven't lost one. Every single one is starting to branch out and grow towards the light.
EDIT: They are getting a lot more light than the picture eludes to.... Plus they get some good natural light in the morning from our big window on the other side of the room.

This is confusing. Do you guys want all the posts about Zac's tank moved to the thread about his tank? Then the conversation will be in one thread instead of two?

yeah, lets do that. I was just kind of thinking about that. Thanks.

Nice, I was considering a mangrove or two. apparently its ok to have more than that lol.
Do you have a link for the 150DE? I would like to look at the price of that and give that some consideration. The wife would like better lighting on her 16g at some point I think. If I made a nice stand and put a pendant light over her tank it would look awesome.

Do you mean, a link to what pendant I'm using? It's actually a PFO pendant and ballast, but I'm running a DIY ballast at the moment because my PFO ballast needs a new capacitor.
Links to bulb and pendant: (there may be sexier pendants out there, I just have two of these so I decided to use it)

Thanks hypertech.
marinedepot seems fairly popular. Might have to give them a shot sometime.
So here is a newb question for you... the big pink thing. That a plate coral?
