This dropped off all my moved stuff and my tank at my new house in FL.

Btw, this shot was taken in MN.

Got the tank out and thank god the tank made it from MN to FL.
USAF paid a 3rd party to come and build a crate onsite and seal it up and I asked them how much it costed for mine and it was $400.

On to the stand to see where I'd like it in the house.

Looks good. You should keep your gun in a case or holster :)

How do you like FL so far?

Btw it's my son's plastic toy gun. LoL

So far FL is everything I dreamed of except some stores close too early.

Just a tip ......

If that's true and particularly if it doesn't have the orange ring on the end, go check the laws where you just moved. They made those illegal here (I think).

They are generally listed as replica or facsimile firearm laws.

Your TAX dollars at work!
Better than on some other stuff we spend it on.

I didn't write those laws. I think they are ridiculous, but they are often (sadly) there.

YingYang-

Is this the tank for the fish you caught? Are you doing a reef or a fish only with it?

You need to ask hypertech since he's more familiar with the area than I am. I feel so lost when I go driving around here.

I think the only fish store I went in was Fins and something or other? Its on the corner of the beach parkway.

They had some saltwater stuff but it was pretty lame. I didn't buy anything.

By the time I would normally get off of work, most places were closed so I never did much shopping. I don't know much about any stores but the surf shops. Every time I go down there I try and find ridiculous little tiki men. They must be going out of style as they were pretty hard to find the last time I was there.

Are you living beach side or in panama city itself?

There is a fantastic little place to buy fresh boat shrimp at the marina. They guy has a little floating house. You ring a bell and he comes out and sells shrimp right off the boat. I think it has something to do with taxes since he sells from the water.

Anyway, I'm sure this belongs in this thread .... :goldfish:

LMAO!!! However, Matt does have a solid point, and he was thinking in the best interest of YinYang and his family.

It's a insult to consider that I could be retard enough to leave a real weapon laying around in a house with 3 hyper kids. The movers freaked out too when they saw it laying around in the living room. I grabbed it and tapped it hard and said it's fake and as soon as they heard it was plastic they tossed it in with all the other kids toys.

So far this is what it looks like.....
It really needs a chiller since the temp with just one 250w MH is already at 82°F and when I hook up the second one I'd for sure really need a chiller. Also completeing the close loop will have to wait due to a delay so in went the powerheads to produce some sand tossing flow.

My fuge light, two car HID bulbs and each has it's own ballast. 12v power is coming from Antec 550w computer power supply and each ballast hooked up to its own rail. I cut up a old PC fixture reflector and used t5ho bulb clamps to hold the HID bulb's mounting base.

Okay! Added another 250w MH to the other side of the tank. I got bored and built a skimmer that I think is too big for how many gallons I got but oh well. Also added more live rock and did some aquascaping. I'll upload pictures and post it in a minute.

Did some aquascaping with more cured live rock I got as trade from a local FL forum member.

Yes I did! I put the computer power supply to good use for the canopy too. 12v power for the two fans to cool the MH bulbs. No chiller needed at all! I can even touch the reflector and it's colder than the water. Plus each fan has 4 blue LEDs which give me moonlights.

Yes that's my water return line. LoL

You guys are going to think I'm crazy for doing this but it works the same as a $1,000+ skimmer. I'm skimming better than I've ever skimmed before. Indeed it's a 5 gallon water jug. LoL
I used two 1" bulk heads, ball valve, 1" pvc, etc.... I cut a 5" hole on top of the jug and siliconed a 50 pack cd round cover and cut the top open. I used another 50 pack cd round cover for the collection cup and slides nicely over the one on the jug since it's tapered and has a larger opening on the bottom. The collection cup is a 13 gallon plastic trash container I cut in half with a 5" hole on the bottom to silicone the 50 pack cd round cover. The pump that makes the bubbles is inside at the bottom of the skimmer and it's my old euroreef skimmer pump and the needle wheel is great. I'd do the mesh mod but that gets clogged to easily.

You can see very well the skimmate that's building up.

Looking great! I like the skimmer.

I fully understand their concern with the gun... A friend of mine was pulled out of his truck, thrown to the ground and tossed into the back of a cop car due to an uncased paintball marker sitting behind his seat. It was silver and from where it was it did look real so I understand the cop's actions. Just a concern but some cops can overreact and I would hate to see anyone get hurt over a toy gun... :(

If you don't mind me asking, do you have a pool? I had an ex move down to FL and she said EVERYBODY had a pool.

House shots would be awesome. How is the floridian housing market?

Way before I was dating him my husband was helping a friend move. It was something like two in the morning. I want to say it was an airsoft gun that the tip had broken off of. Yeah, the cop put his hand on his gun and it could have gotten scary.

That said, love the tank. Very jealous. Someday we'll have a house again instead of an apartment.

I wish I had a pool. The house market is down just like any where else.

Please no more post about that dumb toy gun. I'm military not some retarded hillbilly.
