The old camera decided it no longer wanted to function.....left me the perfect opening to convince Jess we need a new camera....

Spent an hour taking 250 shots, of which only 30 turned out decent. I've been playing with Adobe Bridge and CS 4 learning how to adjust color balance. Very powerful software, but I still have lots to learn. Bridge is way cool though.......

The color isn't as vibrant as real life, but when I try to make it pop in PS, it turns fakey fast.

Our tang rarely slows down, but I managed to catch a decent photo of him. I'm having trouble getting the level of sharpness that makes you really go WOW.

Looking good! What kind of camera did you get?

I ended up getting a Nikon D40. I was looking at a Canon Powershot, but decided to step up to a DSLR. I'm sure the D60/D90 would have been much nicer, but they were both WAY out of the any camera budget for us.

The colors are coming out so much better than with my point-shoot camera. The pictures final look simular to real life.

I am really impressed. Great shots. The first one would have been a good candidate for the photo contest.
