False Percula Freckles

One of my false percs, Ren, is developing freckles. She has spots along both sides that exactly match the pigmentation of her stripes, and they aren't upraised at all. I can't find any known affliction that includes spots like this. Anyone have any ideas of why Ren is freckling?

are they black spots, or orange?

Black, same color as her stripes. Definitely not a parasite, definitely not lesions. I have a picture in my profile of her, and two spots are plainly visible. She has about a dozen of varying size.

do you have frogspawn, or a torch or hammer coral by chance? It sounds like it is just stings from a coral.

Frogspawn, yes, but I've never seen her near it. *Ponder*

heh.... It could be black ich, but it is probably more likely that it is just messing around in a coral

Somehow I doubt it. . . she's getting spots in places that can't possibly be touched by a frogspawn. *Hee*
