Here's the new GBTA that I just got from Mary. Very cool color, the photo does not do it justice. Its an incredible teal green with bright orange/pink tips.

It looks really nice! I like that better than the red ones.

I've been looking at the whole salers for one similar and haven't seen one yet... that's one rad, unique anemone.

mmmm... jealous.

I thought about sniping that from Mary but my LTA had just gotten sucked into a powerhead the night before.

I had been waiting to see one of those become available. You're right the pic doesn't do it justice, the tips are the craziest thing I've ever seen.

Any update on this or a fresh pic? I'm on the hunt for one like it if it kept its color.

If I'm gonna pay freight, its got to be better than nice. And, if that one that originally started with Mary is still running around and kept its coloration, I'd be tempted to do so.

I've got one from Mary. Came from their 120. Might have been the last one there. Still has most of it's color. A little faded. Darn thing hasn't split once in the 18 months +/- I've had it. It's not for sale but I wish I could get it to split so I could propagate it around.

Is that the one with the orange tips? If so, cut it up already! And send me one :greenguy:

More seriously, if it splits, I want to know.

I want one too!!!!!!!! Me first, me first!!

Kidding

BTW Beernut - my Vampires are finally growing and thriving - was hit or miss for the last year.

I believe I will finally be able to get you a frag for the Spring swap!!!

Yea it is. Must have caught her at a weak moment. She said others were asking about it but my offer must have been right. Just as you described, green with orange/pink tips. I don't have the skill to cut it up. If one of the club "experts" wants to offer to cut it, I'll consider it. I'll try to post a picture of it tomorrow just so you can validate it's one.

I've only heard of a couple people doing that, and none of them ended well.

I've heard much better results from people pulling it out into a bucket, waiting a few min, then putting it back in tank. In theory pissing it off until it wants to split.

The success rates seem to very from complete to utter failure with little in between. Given that this may be the last one (don't know if mr bill still has his or not), I probably wouldn't do it to mine. But, since its yours and I want one - DO IT!

...and then we went from having just 1 left of a 6" or so nem to having 1 left of a 2" or so nem. Ruh roh!

It will grow and flourish in my tank. Not sure what BeerNut's issue is ... jk.

The one at the shop is currently NFS. It belongs to Ironhead, he's likely going to put it back in his 40B once it's setup.

Perhaps he knows where it came from.

Mine has never split and has only about doubled in size since I got it. I do not feed my nems very much because I dont really want them to get too big. I just took this photo using my crappy point and shoot with flash. The color under the T5 tank lighting is a more teal and the tips are brighter.

I think the one at Clints may be a nem I sold to Ironhedd. It is not the same as the green nems from Mary.

I have two of them. If one splits you can have one. JimE, quilaho, and timmy77 had or still have some. I knew mary and beernut had them. I didn't know mr.bill had one. All originally from Thomas (trodder)

Not from Mary... from Chad Vossen during Aril 2010 frag swap in Fridley. ;)

Right on!

One healthy nem too! The maroon clown (also at Clints) would "take a little piece of you" if you ever got within 16 inches of it!!

I have fragged gbta and rbtas in the past (14-16 times for rbta) and have lost only 1. The one I think is because in went into a frag tank that was setup to quickly. The easiest way to frag them is getting them off of the rock first.
