I think they are a little bit fish to fish. I have one that I absolutely love but all that I have are mushroom corals that he doesn't touch. I talked to a guy who had one in his full reef setup w/out trouble. But I've also heard of some who pick on stuff and are trouble.
Sorry I didn't really help you at all

I have had two different ones in my system without any problems. Well fed may help lessen the possibility. However, with that said, just be sure you have a good method for removing the fish if you observe any issues.
I have both a flame and a coral beauty that I got from others that because of no polyp extention just assumed it was the fish. Well, they both have been model citizens for me ( now 2 years later ) so be sure you actually catch them in the act before jumping to conclusions.

Mine eats acropora coral tips. The corals are recovering and growing faster that it can comsume. I will admit that I don't feed as much as I should. Mine is small and if you have enough coral even if it's nipping overall not really a problem. I love mine and am willing to let it do it's thing. Good luck!

My flame picks all the time but not on any single coral to the point where it does any damage. I have have it for 3+ years.

I will never put a dwarf angel in a reef tank again. Does that help you?

It might be ok if you kept a sharp eye on him. If he starts to attack corals you could probably remove him before there is horrific damage since they have a small mouth???
I have an Ebli Angel in my system. Just fine and dandy!
you just won't get a definitive answer. I'd say go for it, though. They're gorgeous. I've been lucky with a coral beauty, but I don't think any of the centropyge's are 100% reef safe.

Trevor from WoF has a flame that is fine except with Green LPS.
