Are Valentini Puffers safe? Key Hole Damsel safe?
It seems to be regrowing quickly but I continue to see "arms" missing.
What is their general nature?

I say don't worry about it, if you need to, frag some off, and start a second colony, and let the fish continue to eat it. It's a great way to have that stuff kept in check.

It could be a water quality issues too.
No experience with Valentini Puffers to know what problems that might cause but I would suspect you would be seeing more than just arms missing.

How do I frag it off? Do I break the rock its on in two?

If you have any "arms" left, just snip them off with a scissors or knife. Then use some superglue gel to secure it to a rock. I would suggest a small rock so that it can be moved easily.

Peal part of the matt off the best you can. Super glue the matt to another piece of rubble.

So I got this...
All I have to do is "peel" off the matt somewhere maybe a 1inch by 1 inch area, and super glue it to another rock?
I am shocked superglue is ok for the tank, the polyp etc... much less taking it out of the water to glue it.
Thanks everyone, just learning how to raise corals.

It's terrifying the first time you do it, after that, it's no big deal. You will stress it out, and it may not be happy for a few days, but it will get over it. GSP grows really fast, so it will recover quickly.

You want to super glue it out of the tank. Need to use the Gel. Regular superglue is too runny.
It's perfectly safe. Can alternatively just rubberband it to the rock until it attached too if you want. Superglue gel though is preferred. This works for any hardcorals, but not really for leather type soft corals or mushrooms. Basically any corals that can contract/expand usually won't stay attached with superglue.
