Just wanted to say hello. I'm just starting a new saltwater tank. I've done freshwater for about 5 years and I'm very excited. I'll be reading a lot of the posts to try and take in this wealth of information available and likely posting all the new questions I come up with (I'm sure there will be plenty).
Oh and I'll try to post some of the progress as I go along with this set-up.
Peace.

Nice to meet ya Zibba!
Welcome new guy! Nice idea on the skirt around the stand... probably saved you a bit of $$ and still looks good. Can you remove it if it needs to be washed?

I won't be able to remove it once the tank is filled. But I can easily access the sump and all the plumbing underneath. If it does end up getting really dirt, I can take it off but will be unable to get it back on without completely emptying the tank. I'll just have to be careful.

Hello, and Welcome. Check out the thread titled what not to do, it has a good list of some of our favorite mistakes we have made throughout the years :)

It is so refreshing to have such a welcoming community right in my own backyard. Having such a great knowledge base right here in the twin cities is fantastic. I'll be sure to list my progress as well as any new questions I have. Thanks again for the warm welcoming.

You found the forum. good job. Here you will find a wide range of experience and knowledge. One thing to note is that there are many ways to do things, all accomplishing a healty tank. Also, there is a plentitude of inaccurate information that may be spread with the best of intentions by any of us, so be critical of the info you receive, especially from me ;)
