I was at OD this last weekend and they had some wierd clams. They look like a hybrid between a maxima and either a deresa or a squamosa. Each was a little different from eachother, but they were all very different from the standard colorations. I picked one up and to me it looks like a blue spot squamosa. Some of the others has purple and looked more like maximas, but the shell looks a lot like a squam. Anyone seen these? Comments?

I have two blue spot squamosas... they're pretty common. Fathertree indicated in his book that he doubts that there are hybrids.... Captive bred croceas and maximas may have larger than normal scutes, this is because they aren't worn down by burrowing into coral or substrates....
