It really isn't that urgent, but there is a small leak in the return line, right behind the overflow where it makes the last 90-degree elbow to the return flow into the tank which is spraying back down into the overflow area and making a lot of noise. Hopefully that description wasn't too convoluted. Can you help? Is there anything that I can do besides replace that joint (some sort of epoxy? i have no idea)?
Thanks in advance.
shut it down; clean it up; put on the pvc glue and give it a bit to dry... you tank will be fine in the meantime but that is about your only option.

i'm assuming that i can pick up some pvc glue at home depot...correct? it is fine to shut it down as I am still setting up and there isn't any live stock yet, hence not being extremely urgent.

what did you use to do the plumbing if you didnt use pvc glue?
yup... I like the purple stuff because you can't miss a spot... also might want to pick up the cleaner stuff with it so you have a clean surface to do the gluing. make sure All you joints are glued unless it is meant to disconnect.

The purple stuff is the cleaner, the clear stuff is the cement, did you mispost?

We also didn't want to hear that you, perhaps, just pushed the pieces together REALLY tightly, and called it good...
