I am trying to set up my ac jr and I downloaded aqua notes. I can read status changes and program through aquanotes so I know that I am connected, however when I click on the graph I don't see any data. Also my scale is huge. I can click in and zoom but then I only have one graph. How can I see the data on the graph and adjust the scale?

You may have to retrieve the data logs before being able to
see it graphed.
Try selecting the "Retrieve Data Logs" then view the graphs. Also, i believe the default time is in 15 min increments.
The scale should auto adjust to the values in the time selected. I'm not famular with a way to adjust the scale.

I have tried to retrieve the data log and no display. When I look at the ac jr is has the data for today and yesterday, and I set the graph for one day and selected todays date. Still do graph?

I noticed that I also don't show anything in the tank database folder, but when select retrieve data logs it says it retrieved successfully.

:ac39: I tried to cal my ph probe and in the run mode it reads 7 and 10 as it should be, however in the tank it then reads 1.93 so I pulled out my test kit and my ph levels are around 8.3:grr: And after doing the cal the first time I got it to aquanotes to update twice and now it doesn't anymore. Not sure what I did and then undid.

I don't use aquanotes so can't help you there.
However, if you calibrated your PH and get funny readings in the tank, it can be interference with your ballast or other equipment. Trying turning them off and see if it changes the readings. There is a remedy for this but don't recall specifics since it hasn't happened to me. Do a search in Neptune sponsors forum on RC.

My lights are off and nothing changed. I haven't mounted the equipment yet so my probe is just draped in the front of the tank. I still have the packs of cal solution and when I put the probe back in them it went right to 7 and 10.
Is there a setup option somewhere that changes to saltwater use?

No. Just calibrate is all you do.
So I assume you Calbrated your probe in a different area than you placed the probe.
If so, take a sample of the water in a cup and test the water in the same circumstances as you calibrated to totally eliminate the interferance issue.
What brand is the probe ? Is it one used in the hobby or did you get one for other uses. Reason I ask, Some aren't mean't to be fully submerged. I have bought some before that just don't work as good in this environemnt. I prefer the pinpoint for this reason and because it has a nice long 10' cord.

Check to see if your probe wires are next to any electrical cords, if so, move them to at least 6" away from each other. Also, check to make sure your probes are connected to the right connection. I've had them backwards before and got really awkward readings.

I am using a neptune systems probe, brand new with a new ac jr. The connector is a bnc style connector so you can't install bacward. I did the cal directly in the solutions bags and placed the probe in the front of the display tank so it is removed from everything. I just brought a cup of tap water right beside the tank so I only moved the probe a couple inches and it jumped from 1.93 in the tank to 8.43 in my tap water

Are you using 2 pH probes in different locations (like one is in a Ca+ reactor)? If so this thread may help:

It sounds like it could also be a ground loop issue if you are using a serial connection. If possible, next to the pH probe, place a grounding probe that connects to the same outlet as the PC, that might help isolate the problem?

This sounds like it may be it if you are experiencing this only while using aquanotes...

Does anyone have a Ground Isolated Serial Connector that I could borrow or buy. I assume this is the problem.

the connector was the problem. After I put one on it jumped right up from reading 1.93 to 8.19. Now all I have to do is keep my ph up to the level its suppose to be at. wink wink knod knod
