Some of the old schoolers are still around I see, I took a little vacation from the finance bound reef hobby, and now a year and a half later I am back! Things are a little different this time around....no 3 foot tall skimmer :mad_3: no dragon eel :mad_3: No cross hatch triggers :mad_3: and I am married :mad_3: This time I went with something that does not absorb all of my time and money.(referring to the tank not the wife) we will see how long it takes to upgrade (referring to the wife this time)
Specs include; 30 gallon All Glass Aquarium, Octopus Dual Backpack Skimmer (thats right a hang on ) a Hydor 4 for flow and a aquamedic 250 watt Titanium heater with aquamedic controller. A bag of Black and White live sand and 40 pounds of the finest live rock my tub full had to offer. Here are some pics
Full tank shots.....if only you could see the mad action of that hang on skimmer in person :gay1:

And I even got back a few small pieces of my original Tyree Idaho Grape I got from Greg Shields as a small half dead frag, that was then revived and spread everywhere in the club, chances are if you got your at a meeting this is where it started, Epidemic spread it 10X compared to me so I know it is everywhere or was at one time.

special thanks to Boker420 for keeping some of my goodies alive for quite some time, and a couple other locals in the neighborhood for some of the other livestock.

good to see you're back! Has it really been a year and a half?

Yeah, it looks like your Acan/micro habit is going to be really cheap this time. :gay1: cool pieces

Looks great! Nothing wrong with that setup at all. From what I've seen there are some very nice tanks, and very nice reefers, down in your neck of the woods. You're lucky on both counts.

Nice setup, that clown looks like he's lost, all the way at the other end of tank from the anemone. :)

Welcome back, neighbor. You were the first person to ever PM me in the club and then just disappeared. Now I know why.

BTW ... I'd stick with a tank upgrade ... definitely cheaper than a wife upgrade ... although, they might go hand in hand.

What Up Q! I do remember that! Next time you are coming down PM me to check out the new and undersized tank.....and of course I was kidding about the wife upgrade. No one else would put up with all of my obsessive hobbies.
I am fortunate that there is great reefer in the area. That really helps with the tank and how good it looks!~ :beerchug:

Welcome back Steve. Tank looks great. If you're ever looking for a GBTA I've got one you can have.

If you found a good one that will put up with the 'obsessive' hobbies we have that's awesome! If not, I'd agree on the upgrade :-p

: and I am married :mad_3:

Not sure if you meant it this way or not... ROFLOL!!!!:rotflmao:

If you are looking to upgrade... Find a fish your wife really likes... I have found that a "nemo fish" works best for this. Then you can tell her how much better his home will be under metal halides, massive skimmer, huge $300 corals, or whatever. If that doesn't work just beg for about a month. :biga:
