:help1: My Chaeto doesn't grow and doesn't die either. Its strands looks like covered with dark grayish/blackish thin fuzzy film. My guess it is some sort of bacterial film. (Yes, I was dosing vodka for a while instead of drinking it :)) Maybe it promoted film growth. Anyone had this problem?
In any case I need to clean chaeto somehow and keep it from fouling up, anyone knows a good way of keeping it clean?

I am using melevs light, maybe I need to put something more powerful. Maybe a 96W PC retro (this is probably sufficient for my 12"x13" fuge). Any suggestions?

Thanks gurus:bow:

if it is cyano, you might want to skim heavy and feed less. got a pic?

You may want to swish it in seperate saltwater and then get a little flow on it. Your light should be fine.

I don't think it is cyano, because I have no cyano anywhere else.

I've tried to swish it multiple times. The film on it seems to be holding strong to just let it go. Any suggestions? Or I'll just have to replace it?

I'd start over with a new batch from someone and hope it doesn't reoccur.
