Hey everyone ~

Just wanted to post a few pictures of the tank as it's nearly set up. I've since changed the aquascaping and currently I'm making a few changes to the plumbing. Tank has been cycling for almost a month so as soon as the plumbing is redone I should be ready to have some fun (not that it hasn't been fun setting it up).

356 357 355

The aquascaping is much different now than shown in the last picture but it gives the general feel for what I've done so far. There is probably about 120-140# of live rock. and 3"-4" sand bed. I'm still messing around with my powerhead placement and which ones I want to use. Right now there is one modded maxijet pushing over 2000 gph, and two seio 820. I have a seio 2600 but it for some reason stopped working and I have to send it in on warranty. I'll try to keep you everyone updated as things change.

Yep, I like the rock work. I wonder sometimes why I can't be that creative!

good job. I don't know if I would stack the ballasts ontop of each other like that, tho.

Did you use fiberglass rods? Or any kind of rods for that matter or is it just stacked on there?

You think the bottom one will get too hot? Or what is your concern?

It was all just stacked. Used different pieces to sort of create a puzzle like fit. Very sturdy.

judging from the seios and the overflow my guess is it's a 90.

It's my old 90. Zibba, I believe Coralife states that one should not stack the ballasts on top of each other, but I can't remembe the reason.

Thanks Matt. I'll set them side by side. And I'll get new pics tonight!

BTW, my Ammonia and Nitrite/Nitrate levels are undetectable! :)

These pictures are from about 3 weeks ago when I was able to borrow my dad's new Nikon D40x. Everything was just point and shoot.

I have since added a yellow tang, royal gamma and a yashia shrimp goby (...goby has been MIA since I added him) along with a few small frags from members on TCMAS (all seem to be doing great).

Anyway - here is what it looked like 3-weeks ago and not a lot has changed since then. Still just a bunch of rocks...but I am getting coralline growth finally.
