If you can get the clam out easily, a freshwater dip is as effective as anything. Clams are actually quite tolerant of fresh dips. As long as the pH and temp are similar, I'd go about 30 minutes...provided the clam doesn't show significant signs of stress.
I second the notion of Halichoeres wrasses. :beerchug:
