Can't say all I have ever used was the Pinpoint and the aquacontroller. From what I have heard Milwaukee is pretty good.

I have a Milwaulkee SMS122 and it works well. A good value in my opinion.

why get this kind of monitor instead of a controller?

I'd rather put the money towards a controller vs. buying seperate.

I believe the milwaukee model he listed is a controller... but I definitley could be wrong. :)

Me too, I mean't a multi-function controller like a Jr. that will do PH, dual temp controller, alarms, dosing, wavemaking, you name it............

Ok...the reason I asked the question. I purchased the Milwaukee unit some time ago for my CA reactor. Since then it's pretty much just sat there unused. Fast forward to October. I won the poker run and won the Reef Fanatic unit. I made this post in an effort to see if the Reef Fanatic unit was better than the Milwaukee or not. But now that I have been educated that I have a monitor/controller vs. the monitor only, I now know the Reef Fanatic unit is of no use to me. :stars: Perhaps next time I will do some reading on the internets instead of relying on you guys to set me straight :gay1:

I fully expect more "retard" votes and even a few negative votes for my "reputation" :gred
