Well my Lionfish is getting so big I don't trust it with even 4" fish.
I just put it back in the 120, and it looks like it has doubled in size over the past month (6"+).
Would it be cruel to place it in my 12g aquapod till I get it a new home.
They don't seem to need to swim much, and they keep some very big ones in small tanks in zoos etc.

It probably depends on how long you are talking about. Also, if the other fish are fast, they might be OK. There is a clown and a 12" Violatin living happily at my local pet shop. I look for it every time I'm in there waiting for it to get eating but it hasn't happened yet.

This makes me think of a slightly tangential question I thought about posing to the group earlier. Is there any interest in providing a temporary holding service to other members (almost like fishy daycare). People interested in such a service might be needing quarantine/hospital services if they don't have a tank for that or theirs are full, temporary relocation (tank moving, etc) ....

i imagine something that big would foul the water really fast in a 12g.

Yeah you would be in for at least daily water changes maybe twice daily.

Its going into a 30L holding in tank with the trigger.
If I don't sell the 125 this month it will go in the basement with the 2 big fish.
Guess I'm safe from PETA for now!:gay2:
