1st I HATE THE BACKSPACE BUTTON... this is the third time I've typed this so no spelling corrections this time!

Ok, I know this has been posted on alot but I couldn't find exactly what I needed here or on Google and need some help. I have an older(7years) 125 gal that I want to drill for an overflow.

1) Does it matter if I drill on the top bottom edge? Middle or corner? (I assume the bottom is tempered)
2) I'm going to do the double pipe quite overflow that has been posted on. Can I put both holes next to each other? Does it matter if they are vertical or horizontal?
3) How big of bulk heads? I'm using a Little Giant rated at 1200 GPH at 4' of height.
4) Is there a link to find out if it is tempered? I couldn't find on Google.
5) Lastly, does anyone have a press/bit they want to borrow and/or help with?

Search in our old forum at thereeftank. There should be plenty of info on how to drill.

Personally, if you haven't bought the bit yet, get the 2.5" one to drill 1.5" holes. Two should be plenty for just about any flow you want.

If using durso standpipe design. You want the hole drilled as high on the back glass as possible. Doesn't matter if in center, corner, or really where. Mostly personaly preference or depending on you plan to do your aquascaping.

but what does "get the 2.5" one to drill 1.5" holes" mean?

bulk head = 1.5
hole for that bulkhead = 2.5 = size of diamond hole saw

... A few last questions.... want to bet on that statment?

Even though I have the bit, Cambridge is a haul for me... but you can buy a bit and have it shipped for you for probably about $15-18 total from here (http://stores.ebay.com/THK-Diamond-Tools_W0QQfcdZ2QQfciZQ2d1QQfclZ3QQfromZR10QQfsnZTH KQ20DiamondQ20ToolsQQfsooZ1QQfsopZ1QQsaselZ7691413 QQsofpZ0QQtZkm) (I think you'd need the 65mm bit, but don't quote me on that)

Well I finally got around to drilling my 125 and ended up sticking two markers to the glass w/putty forming an "L" shape and used that as my guide. Worked pretty well.
