Hello Everyone,
simply put, i'm building my first setup with more than one tank. And since i work at a lfs i figured i would need something a bit more extravagant to show friends and family. mainly because my 30g salt with a single green spotted puffer isn't impressive to anyone but myself (mainly because he was my first fish and still alive.)
My desires are these: I want a mandarin goby, and to show off my refugium, attempt a cryptic zone, and to do very few water changes yearly. And visit space.
The basics of the tank:
-90g, non reef ready, ill be drilling and creating 2 overflow boxes and one center drill hole for the main display tank return.
-sump will hopefully be a 37 or 38 gallon with a euro reef 100 skimmer and a mag7
-refug will be also hopefully a 37/38 on top of a stand that i will build somehow with a 20L situated underneath for the cryptic zone.
-planning on a hydor 3 and 4 in the tank for flow with another nano wherever needed. though for a mandarin this may be way to much flow, still undecided there.
Now for a sweeeet sketch utilizing my single semester of architecture schooling, behold.

90 dumps to sump, sump pumps 1/2 to 90 1/2 to refug, thinking right around 300gph to each. refug gravity feeds most to the 90 and a small amount to the cryptic underneath. CZ dumps to sump.
ok, i have none of the parts so far and am still pretty open to comments and suggestions so please do so. i would also love to hear from anyone who has done a cryptic zone in any capacity on their thought whether or not it is actually beneficial.
