i think they always end up starving. and that they require a VERY specific diet and not just any plankton will feed them.
this is if im thinking of what your thinking :)

They are very difficult to keep. Stavation is the problem on most occasions.

Has anyone tried keeping them with a mature sand bed, and occasionally stirring it? There's been some success with dendros doing this.... just a thought.
I kept one alive for about 3 weeks, problem I had was they were 3/4 dead from the shipping :(

I don't think anyone in the club has succsefully kept them. They are pretty high on the "don't-even-try-it" list.

I kept one for about 10 months. I kept it in my 110 gallon fuge. It sat right under the overflow pipes. I think it died because I shut down my fuge for some replumbing and between the no flow and temp, it died there after. I wouldn't mind trying one again if one of the LFS got one in by accident. I wouldn't order one
