Anyone ever cook old sand with miratic acid and then re-cure it?

Just used the acid on 120# of ruble rock and was very pleased with the way it turned out. Why couldn't you do it on old sand? Wouldn't you think it would be the same as rock.

sand would dissolve very quickly I think. Best option I ever used was a saltwater filled bucket and a net to rinse in. How did the rock turn out? Any pics? Also PM sent.

I and others have used and were recommended to super rinsed out old sand. I used tap water and let it dry completely. Meaning it takes a while for it to dry unless you take up half of your garage. Careful of the razor blades, amazing how they show during this......
