there is another thread over there in the non-members area. and lots of peoples did not get the emails about this....

We don't have to (and shouldn't) wait until October for a business meeting. We can have a vote on this anytime.

I do agree, even though I wouldn't be able to attend, I do think that if you guys want to vote on this, find a way to do it soon instead of dragging things out until a vot in October.

It makes more sense to me that the club has it's own forum, rather than piggy-backing on someone elses. Just my oppinion.

What's there to vote on? Add a link to this site from the club web page just like the other links. It's a free country. If you don't want to post on TRT then don't post. If enough people don't post over there, they will post here. Is there a penalty for posting here? I don't think there is. The traffic has really picked up over here and has slowed on the other site. As far as I know we still have a forum on RAG as well.

I'll be the first to remove TRT from my favorites and not look back. It will be easy for me though, I don't have much time to be on the boards much anyhow. I don't need a vote. I'll be on this site exclusively starting April 1st. (I don't want to officially leave until Energy's tank is off as TOTM:wink: )

The thing is, if we have a vote, people will still be free to post wherever they like so I don't see what it solves.

I realize it will be nice to have a vote to give the leaders permission to go ahead with having sponsors and the like, but if people are looking into it and we have people who want to commit to running things on that end long term, why not just do it regardless. Will we have answers to everything by the frag swap? If not, then why not just post here for those that want to and wait til the business meeting for a vote. I'd be willing to bet the votes won't change much and there is more time to check out the non-profit status more thoroughly. Why vote to move asap and find out the non-profit end of things isn't worth the hassle? I suppose we could vote to move back in October:look:

The big thing is just adding a link at the club web site and maybe send another quick email to everyone with a link to this site and mentioning that "it seems most people are posting here if you are wondering why things are slow".

If the big reason we are changing is a natural progression of a big club, then let's take the time to give this a true long term test, investigate the legalities of accepting money, and vote in October if we still need a vote.

We just need people to commit to post here to see if it will work.:icon_deal:
