Need Help with Hood

I bought a 58 gal Oceanic tank with a DYI hood. The hood has been neglected and in reasonable condition. I tried to add a missing fan and re-wire the hood, but instead I blew the fuse in my home. Anyone on the list hands on that could possibly help for a few buck?
