That ORA tricolor was a trade-in from me....... It looked way better when I traded it in. Under their lights began to darken up quite a bit. Was nice bright purple throughout the whole piece.

In his tanks it had started getting darker tips, in my tanks it's all the same color. IMO, It's a way nicer coral than the larry jackson. I have about 16 more of them at home growing out in the frag tank will be ready in the Fall.

At the meeting at my place in May, it was certainly on of the most asked about corals in my tank.

I was thinking that is a piece of the maricultured one that was fragged out because it was dieing from the bottom up. I was there when he fragged it and I even mounted it for him. I can't be absolutely postive though. If it truely was an ORA, I would expecti it to be encrusted as he hasn't gotten any ORA in for quite for several months ( Outside of my trade-ins ).

looks like it was encrusted at some pint. You can see the dead polyps around the base of the plug.

When I mounted it, I did so on a "used" plug.

Wast there some used "stump" left over?

Basicly that is what you are seeing, when i look at it i can see the skeleton and then the glue and then the live frag.

Any status ? Has the green coral receeded anymore in the last week ?

No recession, It is actually starting to encrust over the glue, it is about half way over the glue. and the tri-color is starting to get more purple along the branches.

I'm quite positive it's not an ORA coral, The coral that I helped fragged was a maricultured coral one on a big cement plug and I'm 99% sure I recognized that frag. Nontheless it is a real nice green color.

It was just a maricultured one from a shipment of about 20 other corals that all came in on large cement plugs made from bottle caps. I can't tell you exactly what type of coral it is other then " A pretty green one".
