I have a spot that needs a 5 foot tank.
I have been thinking of getting a 60"RR Perfecto, or getting one made.
I can now get a used 56x18x28 Star-fire glass tank (I have had my eye on) with dual corner overflows.
It is drilled out the back for drain and closed-loop.
comes with 2x1/2" sea-swirls and 2x400 PFO ballasts and IC ballast for the VHO (stuff I dont need).
Also has about 200# of some nice rock and a few fish (Purple tang is nice) and 3 SPS.
What would be a good price?

2x400 pfo~ $100-150
IC660~ $100
2x1/2 seaswirl~ $150ish

LR and Livestock~$700-800 (depending on size of fish and corals)

total without the tank
$1050-1200

does it come with the stand and canopy? How bout a sump?

No stand or hood, its in a wall and all the plumbing goes down to the basement....I have a small sump I can set up till the day I go down to my basement.
If I were to sell the stuff I dont need, I was thinking $50ea for the SS, and $100 each for the PFO ballast with reflectors and bulbs (used) you think thats to much?.
the 660 is about $50....so $300 in equipment
LR I dont need much of it so selling off 150# at $2.50/lb is $375
So unless I can get it for $1000 or less seems like a PIA to save a few $100's
VS buying new.
Ill see if he will take $700;)

Or better yet, just make an offer for the tank only if you don't need the other stuff.

Thank you REEFSTOCK and Clownnut for getting the 60" from Vertical.
I was thinking about that nice tank, so now that its sold I am buying the 120 here in Rochester.
Do I need to do anything special in moving a Starfire Glass tank?
its just all glass no trim, and the glass looks to be very thick.
PS: people who need rock LMK Ill have about 100# to sell in about 2 weeks.
I will also have a very lg Maroon Clown, which will need a new home.
