About 3 weeks ago I purchased a Desjardin Sailfin Tang. Got it home and did a slow acclimation process and got it in the tank succesfully. It never ate. Each day got worse and worse, and the tang began to just float on the bottom of the tank. It showed no interest in picking at the live rock or any food that entered the tank. After about 2 1/2 weeks I was ready to give up on my new addition.
Yesterday I got home from work and it was swimming out in the middle of the tank with it's fins fully extended (it hadn't done that since day 2) and it was picking at the live rock. Threw some nori on a clip and it started picking away. Today it looks better than it ever has. Full of color and life.
I've never had a fish go so close to dying and all of the sudden turn around like that.
