Are there different scientific names for the different strings? i can google it all day but i never find the string that i have. Most people have this common string:

with varying degrees of brightness. The GSP i have is really long polyps, it completely looks like grass. Im wondering if its just the same string and it is fairing well, or if its a different string.

I dont have a close up pic but these may help, i can take a close up too but i dont think its necissary.

i have five different star polyp strains and they range from 1/4 inch to 1.5 inch.

the ones like yours are the latter of the two. longer is better.

I have 3 different colors all the same strain all the same matt, in lower light there shorter and extremely bright in high light and flow they get long still bright but not as bright. I think there like zoanthids all considered one strain just different color morphs

I've seen tentacle length change with different lighting and color can change with tank conditions imo
