I have a dream, where carnation corals can live hand in hand in a captive environment succesfully.
No, but really, I see these hugee colonies of Carnation corals in the sea, and it makes me wanna have a 20 gallon or so with strictly carnations. I figure if i had a high quality skimmer rated for like 300 gallons, i could get away with setting up a plankton reactor with some kind of dosing pump that would dose every hour or so, directly into a powerhead, spraying the plankton into the tank. What do you think...is it worth it?

I would love to see it,
i was just reading that you can get carnation corals and have success with them in an aquarium. What exactly is the hard part about them?

Look around on other forums, I've seen some people who have setups to constantly dose nutrients through the tank (setup includes many cultures, dosing pumps, and incubators or fridges if they're using dead stuff)

well, if i've done my research (I haven't) then Kent's reef salt should have all the nutrients you need. otherwise they wouldn't use that as the picture on the bag.... right? :gay1:
