Yesterday I was going to restock my freshwater supply and when I went to get the tubing wrapped around my ro/di unit...the whole thing dropped from where I have it sitting about 8 ft high (out of eyesight). Sure enough, a few of the John Guest fittings broke. So much for restocking my ro supply
I was able to get all of the replacement parts from thefilterguys and it should be here tomorrow or wednesday. Just another bump in the road for this hobby! Good thing I still had 30 gallons of fresh and 30 gallons of mixed saltwater on hand.

just so you know you can also buy most of those fittings locally at Menards and home depot, if you are ever in a pinch and need them quick :)

Mary, which one do you go to? I had a really hard time with the menards in midway. They either didn't know what they had on stock, or said they didn't carry it.

I looked at my home depot and they had some JG fittings, but not the ones I needed. Plus I needed to replace the RO Membrane Cap (the white one that sits on top) - the JG fitting snapped off inside there :(
yeah matt, that menard's is... sub-par.

Well after this minor accident, I'm definitely sitting in a much better position. Along with my replacement parts - I added a TDS meter, new 5-micron filters and DI resin. Everything is back up and running again. TDS - 2 before DI and 0 after DI. It's a nice piece of mind I guess.

I agree, but don't get it. It's probably the worst plumbing location, but one of the largest overall locations - weird. The one over by me in Oakdale has them IIRC.
