Hey, can anyone tell me where the best place is to get my 29 gal. tank drilled and have an overflow put in? My wife and I are driving from Albert lea thru the T. Cities on monday, and I would like to get this taken care of then.

Thanks!:help:

The only store I know that does it is Something Fishy in Richfield.

There are members that do it too, and may chime in here.

Do you know how much they charge and what they do exactly?
Also, would I need to set up an appointment?

thanks:bow:

You need to call and find out if they have time to do it on the spot. Usually you drop it off and pick it up later.

While it sounds intimidating at first, actually pretty easy to drill yourself and can do it on your own time.

just drill it.
I think I have extra bulkhead 1" or 1.5" and a clear overflow box you can have.

Be careful with the 29 gallon aquariums, I just drilled on I had and all the panels were tempered, I had a million little pieces all over my garage.

Man that sucks..... what brand of aquarium was it? The one I have is All Glass and I've heard they're tempered on the bottom...hopefully that's it.

Thanks, but I'm prolly just gonna get it all done at S/F . I appreciate the offer though.:)

if the tank isn't tempered where the hole needs to be, I'd be happy to drill it at my place near Excelsior. I have bits for the different sizes of bulkheads. Just PM.

Freshfish drilled my 75 bow front. doing aftermarket drilling there is no guarentee that it might not crack. (even at Something Fishy)
I can sent you my 1.5inch drill bit
