I have just picked up some deep water coral TCN 30,000 Leagues lokani and the TCN turaki. should I place them at the top or bottom of the tank is there anything I should worry about. I have 125g with 3 250W 10K XM With 2 VHO Atinics.

So your the lucky one eh? I was on the edge of getting that Lokani, but just couldn't pull the trigger. Nice piece for sure. I would have been asking the identical questions. . . .

Lucky, Still came with a big price tag. I hope it will grow up to be a very nice piece.

I picked up the TCN Turaki a few weeks ago. I have it in the bottom of an 18" tank under 10K 150W Ushio HQIs. Its darkened a little since I got it but otherwise seems to be doing very well. I just need to gradually move it closer to my light. All their stuff from the divers den seems to be under pretty strong lighting. Just don't put it too close right away and keep it under good flow.

awesome color and size on both of those, I would start them low as peggy just had them under vho and you dont want to shock them, and from the color and growth she got out of them with the vho, I would keep them in the bottom half of the tank. Granted they were in a shallow tank, 250 10k xms are alot more intense.

When we went to the fosters and smith frag swap the deepest tank i saw in the coral area was maybe 12" and i think every tank had MH over them about 18" high, usually on a light rail. I dont know if that will help you decide where to place yours from the divers den or not but it could be nice to know.

Ben's right they need to adapt. Expect the colors to change to under halides...
