Where do the pods go?

I have a 30g tank with a small refugium that has been runnning for less than two months and I can't get over the number of pods I have.

My question is:

When I run the algea magnet on the glass to clear it and there are pods everywhere, what happens to them? Am I killing them or are they just going into the water and will survive?

Just a thought I had today when I was cleaning the glass.

I would assume some are being killed but not enough to notice and the rest into the water column.

I would think some die, others just simply get knocked down. I could speculate for every one you see, there are dozens you don't. No worries.
