Does unused DI resin go bad? I ordered some last year but only used 1/2 the bag. I placed the used portion in a zip lock and I am wondering if it is still good.

As long it is sealed and kept moist they should be fine. If ever exposed to air long enough to dry them out then they are toast.
When ever I'm going to store them, I usually toss in a little bit of ro/di water to keep moist.

Thanks Dave. I just dumped it in a zip lock with no water so I bet it is shot.

If air sealed it's probably okay. I just do that as a precaution.

exposure to carbon dioxide will also exhaust the resin. short term, the zip lock bag will be OK but eventually the carbon dioxide will go through the plastic in amounts that will exhaust the resin that is close to the bag.
The techs at resintech said that this starts to happen in 3 months if left in the package which is a thick plastic bag inside a box. It wont exhaust all the resin , just the stuff that is within 1/2" or so of the outside of the bag. this isn't as big a deal in these huge 40#bags but in a small zip lock bag almost the whole thing is within a 1/2" of the plastic.
TDS meter will take all the guessing out of the matter : )
