I have a couple of single polyp frags of palys that I believe are dieing. I'm not sure what I can do. EVERYTHING else in my tank is healthy. About a week ago, they closed up, and haven't opened up at all, the flesh is also starting to become transparent. Any ideas?

In my 46. I haven't set up the pico since I moved.

We're going through the same issue with some pink palys right now. There appeared to be some "micro" zoanthids growing in and around the larger pink palys, so those were cut off and glued elsewhere, but the pinks remain in poor shape. Hopefully it isn't the mysterious 'white spot' disease, but it certainly isn't looking good.

They were in moderate light and flow but have been moved to low light and flow with no improvement. As a precaution we fragged a few polyps off and separated the two, but both look equally poor. I guess I don't have any solutions for you, we're in the same boat. :help:

I had great luck using alternating flow on my zoas and palys. If you aren't already, that might be something to try.

You didn't change your lights yet did you?
