I'm thinkin' I ought to make some 'pod condos and was wondering if anyone had any LR rubble lyin' around, or if someone could suggest another method. I've noticed quite a 'pod population, but I think they'll be targeted pretty quickly once I get some livestock in there.

ball o cheato works good too (if its not in your display of course).

I've got a healthy clump of chaeto in the 'fuge, should I agitate it in the display sometimes to transfer some pods, or just rely on the return to send some strays into the system?

I agitate it in the display from time to time, which seems to help a great deal. I also have tucked a few small wads into hidden crevices in the back of the rockwork, and I had a massive pod boom when I did that, but then all the little stray strands of chaeto got really annoying. :/

I put a ball of chaeto behind/under the rocks in the background of my tank so it is trapped in one spot. It gets enough light reflected down there to stay alive and grow a little, but I haven't had any problems with growing or moving more than a 1/2 inch from where it started 6 months ago. I have a huge pod pile in that tank and a fuge full of chaeto as well. Plenty of pods to go around.

Sounds like a decent plan. I think I'll rotate out with fresh chaeto from the fuge every now and again, especially once I get some more livestock.
