Zoas placement

I had all of my zoas place on the bottom of the tank and they dint look all that good .
I have move them up mid tank and also not looking all that great .
what is the perfect placement for them zoas and palys ?

It's different, zoanthids don't all have the same light requirements. What you did if pretty much about the only thing you can do. Start low, if do well leave them be, otherwise moving them up until they meet your expectations.

As you know though, they do encrust so be sure your don't let them get a foothold to any rock you don't want to eventually replace or take out as they well take over at some point.
