Just wondering if some/all of the trash in the video came from Japan.. I would never suggest dumping trash in the ocean is ok however with the earthquake and resulting damage that washed out in to the ocean I could see this amount of trash floating around.

Well, in this case I don't think that would be possible. That video is from Belize - which is just below the Yucatan peninsula in the Caribbean. I have heard though that there is a big mass a garbage heading out to sea from the earthquake though.

I posted this mostly just to make people think about where their trash ends up. Growing up in the Florida Keys, I saw things that were horrible. Sea turtles stuck in six pack plastics, hermit crabs using beer bottles for shells.

I love this hobby, but if we can't keep our sources healthy, we won't have a hobby.

although I gotta admit, the hermit in a beer bottle would be cool to see.
