Now that I actually have a pretty camera, I'd like to use it/learn about it more. While the one on RC is fine, there's plenty of good photographers in the club that I'd like to learn from, also, a place to post photos etc....

Good idea... I second the vote (if we're voting...) ;)

If Mary and Troy want it, then I will add it.

I think a photography forum would be a great additional topic! I'm sure Mary would agree:biglaugh2:

Tell me about it!!!!

Hey, is there a club member that would, in lieu of a meeting, have a "photo meeting"?!? Show dufus' (or would plural be dufi?) how to get great shots, and use the equipment we have?

Volunteers ?!?

I am not necessarily the most knoweldgeable person in the club regarding photography, but I certainly have spent a lot of time and energy obsessing about photography over the years, and know a thing or two. I have also taken a lot of nice photos (along with an even larger number of photos that are junk!). I could host something like this at some point, but there is a lot going on at work these days (we are hiring several new faculty, which is eating up lots of time, and then there is the ever present backup of grading that I feel increasingly guilty over, etc...). Also, my tanks are not altogether presentable for an audience of knowledgeable visitors at this point.....

So, I'm not going to volunteer for right away, but I could maybe do this in the not too distant future if someone else does not step up to the plate first.
