Fish fin fungus?

My copper banded butterfly is developed some purple/dark blue fungus looking stuff on his fins over the last week. Anyone know what the treatment is and if I can treat him in my tank. I can get meds from my clinic, so I'm not as concerned about cost of treatment, just if it will bother inverts.

either Pimafix or Melafix, I forget which one, but one treats fungal infections, and the other treats parasites. Supposedly reefsafe, but I have not tried it in a full blown reef. I did use it back when I had a fowler and the cleanup crew was unaffected (snails, assorted crabs and shrimp)

I beleive Pimafix is for fungus I have used melfix for ich before. Didnt seem to do much though for me.
