What is the name of the palys that are like these, but a solid vibrant neon orange instead of green? A picture to confirm the correct name of the orange ones would be much appreciated also. It's hard to find some when you don't know the name. lol

Thanks for the link Shane, but sadly they were not listed. The closet ones on the website were orange people eaters, but they had a non-orange mouth.

Thank you for a response, but the ones I am looking for is a solid orange. Orange mouth, orange tentacles, and orange body. They are like the purple death and the nuclear greens, only orange. Send me a PM, I may be interested in some Bam Bam's. I fear I am becoming addicted to colony anemones. :gay1:

I am positive it is a Protopalythoa, I made an example using photoshop, its not great just quick and dirty. Think this, but more neon/florescent. There were a few at the frag swap, I saw pictures from the frag swap.

Sorry, but I'm not aware of any true Protopalythoa (of the Purple Death/Nuke Green/Captain America, etc group) that is solid orange being introduced into the hobby; otherwise I'd have them. It would be even less likely since you say they had orange skirts as well. Very few of the Protopaly varieties have a skirt of the same color as the oral surface. It's more likely that you saw a type of orange Palythoa, such as a Lunar Eclipse morph, or Valentines Day Massacre, etc.
On the other hand, if they have been brought in by someone, I'd like to know where as well. Just seems weird/unlikely that something like that would make an intro as the frag swap.

Are all of these colors naturally occurring or are they from being under intense lights and thus have morphed into these vivid colors?

I am starting to think they were a Solar Flare morph, that lost the purple mouth.

I would say that's more likely. There are a million little variants out there of that type of paly, some nicer than others. Pictures can also sometimes show things that aren't always there due to lighting/photo artifacts.

Generally these are all naturally occurring variants and not the result of lighting. Purple Deaths, Nuke Greens, Captain Americas, Unattainables, Mindblowing palys, etc, are all Protopalythoas and all have similar morphology but simply have genes for different colors. Because they are the same species, it is possible for them to mix and create a variant, but this would most likely need to be through sexual reproduction. There have been a couple instances of purple and green mixing through splicing, but this is hard to achieve and very unpredictable. I took a dozen polyps each of Nuke Greens and Captain Americas and cut them in half and glued them to each other to see what would happen. Over time they healed into whole polyps and simply formed two separate colonies on the same rocks which no aberrant polyps. Bummer.
Polyps can often change, sometimes a lot, from their wild colors when put under different artificial lighting, but these aren't recognized (by reputable seller/hobbyists) as separate strains, just variants of the same morph/strain.
