I have a approx. 3" roundish plating brown montipora, i know, lovely.
I am really not attached to this coral considering it doesn't look very good, its brown and im not really a monti kinda guy.
BUT
The other day i noticed it had some sand pushed up onto it, I reached in and re-positioned it, and noticed that there was a green(ish) brown(ish) slime going on where it was buried in sand a little. I tried to remove the slime and any other nastyness, then put it back in its spot in the back of my tank ()
Then yesterday i noticed that a different splotch was kinda gooey, blah blah blah, same process. Now it looks bleached in kind of a camo pattern (brown and white) on my monti... but no more slime.
Will the white part of the monti come back?
Should i break it up and frag the parts of the monti that haven't bleached out?
Once again, I'm not that worried about it but i should probably do something. I'll try to attach a picture at some point but as of right now i'm too lazy to fish it (:gay1:) out into a camera-phone-accessible spot.
WHATCHU THINK?! :brick:
