So this is what our tank currently looks like-- it literately scared some trick-or-treaters last week as you can see it through the front door--

It is dubbed "The Ghetto Tank" Fortunately it is only temporary :banana:

Can anyone top this mess?

Note the aluminum foil light guard to keep from blinding yourself anywhere in the house, and the mesh fish guard that does a wonderful job of trapping snails, and don't forget the pvc mesh support to maintain flow throughout the tank and allow the carpenter wrasse a means into the skimmer chamber (he's alive so far, but is missing a tail)

There are so many good uses for tin foil. In college I thought it would be cool to turn one of my rooms into a party/rave room. I bought lava lights, strobe lights and covered the ENTIRE! 12x16 foot ceiling with crimpled tin foil. My roommate was in shock when he got back from his hunting weekend trip. It only lasted about 18 hours. That evening when we were sound asleep...CRASH the tin foil fell down. First in 3 foot pieces, while it didnt make a huge crash, the noise was sure annoying. By morning the ceiling was once bare. It was kinda cool. (No need to make your alien jokes, I got enough of them at the time to last me another 3 years)
