hey guys, new here and I thought i'd introduce myself( and my new setup)
I'm Ben, i've been reefing almost 4 years, the last two i've really developed an sps itch, if you couldn't tell.I'm alot younger than most reefers, 23. I'm running a 75 and a 20long sharing a 55 for a sump, in which I have an octopus nw-150 on one side, and a fuge on the other.Anyways, here's my latest venture. I had 2 18" vho's, not bright enough; 2 24" vho's, not enough. so 1 175 watter, and 2 18" vho actinics- bingo! I had an oak hood for a ten gallon, and with some slight modifications, it now sits 3 inches above my 20. and you wouldnt believe how much brighter the xm 10k is than the hamilton( i had a couple of each lying around, with 6 months burn time on em.)fans really loud though, and its the spendy radioshack 120v one, I love the 4" ones, quiet and last forever, but this 3" sucks.blahblahblah, but I guess if you didn't care you wouldn't be reading this! :) here's the pics, it's alot brighter than it looks, it should produce turbo- growth!
