first nest, snowflake male and normal female. I'm working on growing up the female snowflake, but till the day she spawns, her boyfriend will be sleeping with the normal female.
should have a decent number of snowflakes out of this batch.

Nice. How big do they get before they start to spawn? Mine been acting funny, but haven't seen any eggs.

the males that petco was selling (well I assume both are males in the pair) are mature, just add them with a mature spawning female and wait a month or two.
if your waiting for your snowflake pair to spawn, it will be awhile. the dominant fish needs to turn female still and even then get into the routine and learn it. I'm lucky this male didn't start out eating his eggs.

Congrats Chad! Now will this count for you as a MBI breeding, or not, since this is a different variety, but not a different species? And let me know when you have some for sale too!:beerchug:

havn't raised a batch yet, reed mariculture is backed up on the supplies I need right now. I expect to tackle a batch of snowflakes next week though.

Chad, do you by chance know the difference between a snowflake and a semi-snowflake? I know Ive heard one explanation, but I just wanted to see what you say, as you are up on your clownfish.
