I think the Petco in Coon Rapids carry better selection. It's off Main and HWY 10.
Is their anyone around who QT's their fish?

SWE does.
Before they display them? No offense to the SWE but the last time I was there I saw a few dead fish and some other sickly looking ones

This is NOT the norm for SWE.

I know of two petcos in my area, but I don't feel comfortable buying fish from them because the saltwater tanks usually have loads of ich.
Yea you gotta be careful where ever you buy fish or livestock. Ive been to a couple of recommended fish stores and see dead fish in their tanks at times. I think cause sometimes they are behind schedule and never got around to scooping it out.

That's part of the reason I liked DA so much, I never saw dead fish in there and the only casualties I had from there were two turbo snails, and a cleaner shrimp which died either because I was overdosing with purpleup, my Nitrates were to high, or some pepperment shrimp I added brought a killer shrimp virus. I haven't been to another pet store where I haven't seen sick or dead fish floating in the tank O.o

That's good to know!!!
I didn't think it was. In there defense it was just as they opened and they might not had the chance to sweep the tanks.
I have only been their a few times and I've never seen an issue before.

Good QT is 4 weeks. We encourage everyone at home.
That being said we are proud of the level of quality we provide as an LFS.
