Fragfarmer has some ridiculous acans right now but they will break the bank at a G. Anyone ever see them for this much?

They are cool looking but those prices are high. I can't wait for the day I have that much disposable income.

I always wonder if people are able to get even 1/2 of that back when they buy something like that. You know, grow it out, frag it and sell smaller frags. It seems like it's always a new "in" coral in a year or two so the coral wouldn't be as rare anymore. Acans are fast growers too...
I guess some people don't think about making any money back, but I would have to to afford those!

Smart people with that much disposable income still won't buy them. Those "hot" corals are like cars. They lose a lot of value as soon as you get them home. Eventually the prices will come down as more shipments come in. I spent more than my share on "non indo" lords when they were $100 plus per polyp. Went on vacation and had someone watch my tank...bam see ya...

This was $125 a polyp (japanese). I had the babies sold as soon as they were fraggable. Would have had my money back and then some. Even though I could afford the lose, I realized it was a waste of money.

Here's a better pic. It was purple and neon green and polyps were 1.5 inches across...
