I am in search of a very very small fuge light for my 2.5 gallon project tank. You can view the progress so far on my TRT blog. Essentially I am thinking the only thing that will work and not produce too much heat is going to be a single LED that produces between 6500K-6700K. Anyone have a clue where I can pick on up at?

I just remembered, My entertainment center has a couple of small halogen lights that are used to light up the contents of a shelf. They are about 3 inches in diamater and are, I think, 20 watts.

I use a little 20w halogen under-the-shelf light that I got at Home Depot. I would guess its around 3". Puts out lots of heat and light. The spectrum might not be perfect but it grow cheato for me well.

I think halogen lights would put out too much heat. It will be directly under the tank and the PC light already puts out a fair amount of heat.

negative those will def. not work. This is going on a 2.5gallon sump and is only going to cover a 1/4 of it. I am still on the hunt for some type of LED for it. There will only be like 4-6 inches between the tank and sump so it needs to produce virtually no heat.
