tried it and it doesn't work all that hot you have to have almost no foam and all rock or have very heavy rock work i figure that a 5 x 5 piece of foam can probably float about 15 lbs just my experience and waste of time.

Stan (Energy), used something simular in his 1700 gallon tank. If you get a chance to see it in person, you won't be able to tell what is foam and what is rock!!!! Both get covered in coraline for a very cool effect. I'm not sure what type of foam he used, but I don't remember him saying he had any floating problems.... Perhaps he will see this and chime in.

he used the yellow spray foam in the can and fiberglass reson to seal it. the body is made up of pvc pipe.

I'm actually doing something like this for my setup (180g) David has given me some ideas as well. I plan on mixing my Project LR with Eco Rox and using epoxy/aragonite mix with it as glue and possibly some rods, but will look real and feel real...I currently have 4 Handmade rocks and it is looking decent...still gotta dissolve the rock salt in the project LR before I can start using it.

Would there be any ill effects from the resin or the foam after a few weeks/months?? I would like to do this but I think I am going to need a lot more rock because I am upgrading to a 125 from a 75.
