That was an outstanding show yesterday! A big thanks to Dirk, et. al. for putting it together. It's pretty nice to have Dirk essentially call his friends from all the meetings to give us a talk.
Paletta is a wild man! Talk about someone who is totally into their reef, and all the gadgets and all new stuff that comes along with raising corals and having fish. He is someone who definitely jumps from one fad another, and shows you can be successful doing so. Which is the exact opposite of Steven Pro. He was someone who would wait for everyone to do all the new hotness and fads to see how they shake out, and then adopt what shakes out to be tried and true.
The seachem guy is going to have to pay for some of my therapy, for bringing up all those chemical equations that I've tried so hard to suppress from my undergrad days. :rotflmao:

yeah, it was most definitley a great event. Palletta was well worth the money by himself, so Pro, and the seachem rep were bonuses IMO!
Thanks everyone who made it possible!

What are you talking about, "ready". Can you say, "whiplash". He sure beat other reps I have seen though.
He has potential, with a little coaching he could be a decent speaker :)

Almost got it, it's Henderson-Hasselbach. What in the world was this guy talking about to bring up specific equations like that?

He went in to that. He said that its pKa is similar to natural SW and that it assists in ion-pairing which help with Ca dissolution beyond the natural saturation level. I was surprised be brought up activity as that is moot with anything over like 0.1M.
