After seeing Turf's time lapse video, I thought it would be cool to post some growth shots of the corals in my tanks. Most of the pairs of photos are 3-4 months apart. I have no idea if it "good" growth, but I find it pretty cool. :greenguy:
You'll have to excuse some of the "dark" pictures, I had to give the good camera back.

If you see anything that raises the fire alarm with the sps, feel free to chime in....all advice accepted!

That is some awesome growth. The branches on the slimer sure thickened up and the mystery sps has some cool color. Thanks for sharing!

Looks like nice growth. Hopefully you can eventually pass along frags and keep them going.

1st mystery sps is a larry jackson purple tipped monster or some other tricolor that is close.

The second one you got from me looks to be the ORA blue polyped birdsnest?

Thanks for chiming in with some possible names Mary. Any idea why the new branches on the possible ORA birdnest seem "bald" and not filled in with polyp growth?

I'm terrible with this old sony camera of ours. I can't seem to find a color balance that is even close to real life. The green slimer isn't quite that green, and the birdsnest isn't anywhere near that brown.

Did I mention, I HATE BUBBLE ALGAE. Can't seem to win with it, I even bought a emerald crab in the small chance he would eat it....he might, but he isn't keeping up! AHHH

Most of the shots are approx 3 months apart. With the sps in my tank starting to take off, the kalk isn't keeping up anymore. I've already been putting it off, but time to start dosing two part.
